Cover Reveal: Chip Zdarksy Reveals Green Thumb on New Time Waits #1 F Cover

In a few short months we'll all be able to see what Chip Zdarsky (BatmanDaredevil, Sex Criminals), David Brothers (Good Devils), and Marcus To (Guardians of the GalaxyRed Robin) have been cultivating. Time Waits is a mind-bending sci-fi thriller about a loner named Blue who wanders into a small rural town. He soon falls in love with the local sheriff and sets up a quiet life of gardening and near-domestic bliss. The problem? Blue is a hired gun from the future who abandoned the mission of his former corporate overlords. They're mad and hellbent on sending every gun back in time to hunt Blue and the secret he's hiding down.

At an oversized 48 pages, this first chapter is a kinetic dose of heady sci-fi action that you can preorder from your local comic book store before final order cutoff on Monday July 29th. To celebrate, co-creator Chip Zdarsky has released the following open-order cover featuring Blue straddling his violent past and growing into his peaceful future.

That's not the only thing on FOC this week, though. Somna, the breakout hit of 2023 that Newsarama called one of the best comics of the year with just one issue out, has more goodies around the corner.

First, the Somna: Unveil the Shadows Card Game turns the rich folk horror of Becky Cloonan & Tula Lotay's world into an interactive dual of subterfuge and strategy.

In "Unveil the Shadows," each player assumes the role of a villager, witch, or the enigmatic Dream Demon, each harboring their own clandestine motives. Over the course of the game, players will engage in a tantalizing blend of strategy and social manipulation, striving to uncover who is killing the villagers

Drawing inspiration from the rich, atmospheric storytelling of Somna, this game transforms the tension and dark sensuality of the comic into a palpable force at your table. Navigate alliances and betrayals, interpret cryptic, erotic dreams, and investigate ancient rituals to protect your secrets or expose others. This game can only be purchased in retail.
